Few Normal Weekends

I recently found it hard to answer when someone courteously asks how my weekend was. It’d be fair to say this is a pointless question, unless the person labours on weekends, he/she has no reason not to enjoy two days off work, no matter how “plain” they were. There’s enough excitement just to keep the alarms silent for two days. Nonetheless this is a safe and sound way to start a small conversation with someone, […]

Phone, Train & Instagram

– How much does a hipster weigh? – One instagram. I’ve been working at my new job for a month now. Oftentimes when my colleague asks me how I like my new work, I will mention about how much I love about the commute. It is about 40 minutes of train ride from home to work – which is normal comparing to majority of the workforce. I like the freedom that catching public transport gives me. […]

Some Long Due Updates…

I try to write one blog post every week. Might seem like a bit of a mission, but if time is scheduled for dedicated blog writing time. It could be something possible. I’m also trying to make schedules to form habits, otherwise they may never happen. I think the trick is to write down a little bit whenever a topic comes to mind, that way you’ll have a lot of subjects in reserve that can […]

It seems like the harshness of winter has relented, and the temperature’s rising pleasingly. Even though no weatherman can make a promise in a city like Melbourne, everyone seems to be optimistic for the springtime that’s lingering around the corner. It’s mid-August, how is your new-year resolution travelling so far? Don’t fret, it’s never too late to start something new. Don’t just wait for the new year to start something, everyweek, everyday is a […]

Finding joy in a day job; and weekends are my favourite

Gee, good point Steve. Doesn’t everybody love weekends? Except for pastors perhaps? ‘Coz that’s when they have to work? I’m only joking 😛 It’s not because I dislike my day job. Unlike most white collars, I can actually find fulfilment through the 9–5 (to me it’s usually 8.30 – 5.30 LOL), and I’m very grateful for it. It’s been a bit of a journey getting to fully appreciate my day job, and I’ve gone […]

Sick days, Docklands walk & 2 books I’m reading

(13 Jul 2016) 1. Had couple of days off work as I somehow got a pretty bad virus inside. Last time I got sick this seriously was already two years ago. It’s funny because I never truly learned what the cause of this disease was. All I was told by the doctor was “You have a virus”. And he said virus could get in you through any medium, air, skin, water, food. Since I was […]

Things that I’m up to. Mum & Dad came to visit It’s been more than a year since they came to Aus (last time it was for my wedding). This time they get to spend a good 3-weeks with us. I was worried that they would get a little bored at home, but turned out they actually prefer living in our little suburban home than the hotels in city. I think they like the quietness. […]
